The role.
The Marketing team exists to build the Simitive brand, generate demand and create a strong, qualified pipeline that fuels sustainable business growth. The function drives market awareness, positions Simitive as a trusted authority within its sectors and creates the opportunities that enable the business to win new clients and grow existing relationships.
The Marketing Manager is responsible for driving new business creation through effective, measurable marketing activity. Focused on demand generation and pipeline growth, the role designs and delivers integrated campaigns that attract, engage and convert prospective clients in support of Simitive's growth ambitions.
You'll develop a deep understanding of Simitive's markets and buyers, plan and execute multi-channel campaigns, and work collaboratively across internal teams to deliver a consistent, compelling brand experience — generating qualified leads, building brand awareness, supporting the sales pipeline and demonstrating a clear return on marketing investment.
Main responsibilities
What you will do.
Demand Generation & Pipeline
- Plan and deliver multi-channel marketing campaigns that generate qualified leads and build sales pipeline.
- Own lead generation targets and continually optimise activity to improve conversion and return on investment.
- Develop and manage lead nurturing programmes that move prospects through the buying journey.
- Work closely with Business Development to ensure timely handover and follow-up of marketing-generated leads.
- Identify and test new channels, tactics and audiences to grow the top of the funnel.
Brand & Market Positioning
- Build and strengthen the Simitive brand across target sectors and audiences.
- Develop clear, compelling messaging and value propositions aligned to buyer needs.
- Position Simitive as a trusted authority through thought leadership and sector engagement.
- Maintain a consistent brand identity across all channels and materials.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends to keep positioning sharp and relevant.
Campaign Planning & Execution
- Plan, deliver and document integrated marketing campaigns aligned to business objectives.
- Manage campaign timelines, budgets and resources to deliver on time and on target.
- Track campaign performance and optimise activity based on data and insight.
- Maintain accurate records within CRM and marketing systems.
- Produce marketing insights, reports and campaign performance summaries.
Digital Marketing & Content
- Manage the website, SEO and digital presence to drive traffic and engagement.
- Plan and deliver content marketing including articles, case studies and campaign assets.
- Run email marketing and marketing automation to nurture and convert prospects.
- Grow and manage social media channels to build reach and engagement.
- Ensure clear, consistent and timely communication across all digital touchpoints.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Business Development, Account Management, Client Success, Product and Bid teams.
- Share market insight, competitor intelligence, campaign themes and opportunities.
- Support the continuous improvement of products, propositions and go-to-market activity.
- Contribute to a consistent, joined-up client and prospect experience across Simitive.
Commercial & Growth Support
- Support new business creation through a strong, qualified and well-nurtured pipeline.
- Support account growth and cross-sell through targeted marketing to existing clients.
- Provide sales enablement materials, campaigns and insight to support conversion.
- Encourage client advocacy, testimonials, case studies and reference opportunities.
Qualifications, skills & experience
What we are looking for.
Essential
- Understanding of B2B marketing, demand generation and lead generation principles.
- Knowledge of SaaS, technology or professional services marketing.
- Understanding of the buyer journey, marketing funnels and pipeline development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong copywriting ability.
- Strong campaign planning, project management and organisational skills.
- Ability to analyse marketing data and translate insight into action.
- Proficiency in CRM, marketing automation and digital marketing tools.
- Experience in a B2B marketing, demand generation or growth marketing role.
- Experience planning and delivering campaigns that generate leads and pipeline.
- Experience managing digital channels including web, email, social and SEO.
- Experience working closely with sales or business development teams.
Desirable
- Experience marketing within Higher Education, NHS or Legal sectors.
- Experience marketing SaaS or enterprise software solutions.
- Experience with account-based marketing (ABM) or targeted growth campaigns.
- Experience delivering events, webinars and thought leadership programmes.
- Understanding of marketing analytics, attribution and pipeline metrics.
